ECGC PO Syllabus 2024, Exam Pattern

ECGC PO Syllabus 2024 :- The Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (ECGC) has published the syllabus for the ECGC PO along with its notification PDF. The selection of candidates for the position of Probationary Officers will involve an online exam, which includes both objective and descriptive tests, followed by an interview.

With the ECGC PO online examination scheduled for 16th November 2024, it is necessary for all candidates to review the syllabus topics to prepare effectively for the exam. This article will cover the ECGC PO syllabus, exam pattern, and selection process.

ECGC PO Recruitment 2024 will be completed in 2 sages. To qualify finally and to be shortlisted for the final merit list, candidates must go through both step of the selection process highlighted below. The weightage (ratio) of Online Examination and interview will be 80:20 respectively.

Online Exam – The Online Exam (Computer Based) will consist of 200 Multiple Choice Questions, each with 1 marks. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for incorrect answers. You will have 140 minutes (2 hour2 minutes) to complete the exam, and there will be section timing for each section. Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Examination and
also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for interview

Interview – The candidates shortlisted for document verification/interview shall be required to bring the requisite certificate as specified by the Government of India at the time of appearing for the process of document verification/interview. The total marks allotted for interview are 60. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/ PWBD candidates).

The ECGC PO recruitment process begins with the Written examination, followed by an Interview in the second stage. The Written examination is divided into two parts: Objective and Descriptive. The objective test comprises five sections: Reasoning Ability, English Language, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, and Quantitative Aptitude, totaling 200 Marks and lasting 2 hours and 20 minutes (140 minutes). The descriptive section includes Essay Writing and Precis Writing, which are worth a total of 40 Marks and have a duration of 40 minutes.
