Assistant Professor:
There is no upper age limit in applying for UGC-NET for Assistant Professor.
Admission to PhD:
There is no upper age limit in applying for UGC-NET for Admission to PhD.
Educational Qualification:-
- Applicants must be graduates of universities or institutions as recognized by UGC holding a Master’s degree or its equivalent.
- Candidates who are completing their last semester of a postgraduate degree are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates, having passed a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree program should have at least 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on point scale wherever the grading system is followed.
- Candidates are required to have secured 55% marks and 50% marks for reserved category students.
- Relaxation of 5% marks or equivalent grade may be allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC(non creamy layer)/Differently abled, Economically Weaker Section(EWS) and other categories
- Qualifying exam has to be passed in the area of Humanities (including languages), Social Science, Computer Science & Applications and Electronic Science.
- Candidates, appearing in the final semester of master’s degree can also apply.
- 5% relaxation is awarded to the aggregate marks to candidates with a Ph. D. degree. Such candidates should have Master’s degree examination which should be completed by 19th September 1991..

Exam Pattern :-
- The Test paper will consist of two sections. Paper 1 & Paper 2.
- Both the sections will consist of objective type, multiple choice questions.
- There will be no break between the papers.
- Below is the exam pattern mentioned for the help of applicants.
- Exam Duration- 180 minutes
- Each question carries 02 (two) marks.
